Features and Components of Union Connectors
Union connectors, also known as slip joints or oil unions, derive their name from the English term "Union," meaning to join or connect. This connection method comprises three key components that enable flexible assembly and disassembly.

The union, this flexible connection method, primarily consists of three key components: the male connector, the female connector, and the union nut. They work together to make connection and disassembly effortless.

Materials and Uses of Union Gaskets
Regarding union gaskets, they are crucial for sealing flat-seat unions. After tightening, the contact surfaces between the male and female fittings achieve sealing through compression, with the union gasket playing a pivotal role. Common union gasket materials include rubber, asbestos, O-rings, and silicone, among which rubber gaskets offer relatively affordable costs. O-ring and silicone gaskets are suitable for pipelines below 95°C, making them ideal for hot water and heating system installations. Asbestos gaskets, while heat-resistant, are brittle in nature.
