Before Installation
Carefully remove the valve packaging. Verify labels and nameplates against material specifications, standards, and parts lists. Confirm that the selected valve model, flange dimensions, and structural length are compatible with system pressure, temperature, and other operating conditions. Inspect the valve interior for cleanliness, foreign objects, or harmful corrosion. Clean thoroughly before installation if present. For swing check valves, remove the components securing the valve disc within the valve cavity.
Swing check valves may only be installed horizontally or vertically within the system. Vertical installation requires upward flow of the medium; no other installation orientation is permitted.
After valve installation, flush the pipeline with water to remove any debris introduced during installation and prevent damage to the sealing surfaces.
Ensure the flow direction of the medium aligns with the arrow marked on the valve body during installation. Failure to do so will obstruct normal medium flow.
